Green Chic

I had fun doing this purse. although no matter what I did, I couldn't manage to make both halves even. I worked them the same and figured it couldn't be too hard, boy was I wrong. But I managed to fix things and make some of my own ammenities to this purse.

I may do this purse again, I may not. haven't quite decided. :D

I hand sewed a lining into the purse and added my own embellishments to it. Such as the toggle closure and the fun fur trim. I also wanted to add an O ring to it some where. And this was the best spot for it.

Stitch Markers

Flip Flop Stitch markers.

Turquoise beads and silver.

Flower frames with Turquoise and silver.

And some green love.

I made these stitch markers over the course of 2 hours last night. I think I am getting the hang of things. I couldn't wait to work with the beads in some other way than knitting them into bookmarks or lace. :D

I love beading. I guess I will be doing more along these lines also.

Ribbon Drop stitch scarf

I couldn't remember the pattern or where I got the pattern for this scarf. But I tried to go by what I remembered.

what I did was CO 18 on size 9 dpn's and knit the 1st 4 rows. Then I K1, YO 3 times, across. Then I Knit all my knit stitches and dropped all the YO's. Knit 4 rows, and repeated the K1 YO3 times. I am almost finished with it. when I run out of this ball, it will be finished. :D

Shaggy Bag

This purse was done using Patons VooDoo yarn in Night Sky. I got this yarn from the Dollar Tree and was surprised that they are selling yarns for $1. I wouldn't use it again, but it was interesting to work with it . I lined this purse with a cotton lining that was handsewn and added a silver button to it along with a Flower pendant for accent.

Recent Projects

Set of 6 Hair bands done in fun fur around cotton.

This purse pattern I got from The Crochet Dude.

It's called Chic on a Half Shell.

I am currently modifying it to fit my own interests. I am adding a fun fur trim, a lining, and quite possibly a bamboo O ring to the front as a decorative embellishment.

The lining is hand sewn into place and is very time consuming. I have 2 sides left to do then I will continue to seem up the sides of the purse, add the handles, the edging, and finally the embellishments.

Here is the roving that I have soooo patiently been waiting for. It's called I want Candy. I got it from The Chicks with Sticks.

So now before I can spin this beautifully soft fiber, I need to figure out what to knit. What project would look good in these colors? hmm... It's 4 oz. 100 gr superwash merino.

If anyone has suggestions, please leave a comment, a link to a suggestion, or contact me via Ravelry (Taerynya)

Monthly Dishcloth for June Mid-Month

My lacey waterfall dishcloth.

I know I am a little late in posting a lot of things. But I have been quite the busy bee lately. =D I have been starting a lot of my KAL's and trying to keep up with them, as well as posting them to Ravelry.

I will post the finished cloth pic later, just wanted to have a post up and let you know I am still here working on things. =D

I enjoyed this cloth immensely. It was very easy to follow along with . I am already planning on doing this cloth several times over in a differant color. Thanks for the KAL Andi.

For those of you knitters out there who are interested in doing dishcloths, then you should join the Monthly Dishcloth group at Yahoo.

We have lots of fun and there are so many nice ppl to meet and talk with. As long as your on Topic. August 12 is our 3 year anniversary and are Nearing 6,000 members. Maybe we can reach that number by then.

Spring Forward Socks

I have decided to completely do a whole pair of socks. And thanks to my dear friend Suezee , I have started a pair of socks from Knitty issue ; Summer 2008, called Spring Forward Socks.

I am unsure what the name of the color is that I am using for this sock.
But you can buy it here and get a free pattern. :D

Well basically this is just one full pattern repeat. I think I will do the ankle bit for 3 repeats and then begin the gusset. Hopefully I will figure that part out.

More updates =D

I started these fingerless gloves a week ago and love how easy this pattern works up. I think thought that my yarn may be to thick to use. Which is making the glove a bit stiff. I am using the Caron Soft in Lt. country blue. But I did a guage swatch and it all came out right. Maybe after it is washed it will loosen up. I guess I am just a tight knitter. oh well I love it and will be making more of these gloves.

In my yarn enhancement expedition, I have aquired 2 gorgeous balls of sky bamboo yarn. 100%. And it is niiiiice. =D

My mom gave me these 2 skeins of Chenille. I am just curious as to what I can make with it. I am going to be spending some time looking through loads of patterns to find just the right one that will suit this color. It's a beautiful green.

Okay, so like I totally crocheted these up in like 15-20 minutes before I left on friday to visit with my Mom and Dad over the weekend with my 2 girls. And they were so fun to do, that now I have nice Yellow flip flops and blue flip flops to fluff. I call them my Fluffy Flip Flops. Say that 5 times fast. LOL.

More yarn!!!w00t!! heh heh. This is in Light blue and I also have some regular blue in the Yarn Bee's . Prayer shawl worthy to. Very good stuff.

Lots to catch up on

Simply put, it's a fan bookmark that you can find here. I love it. It's quick, it's easy, and it's beautiful.

This is a lacy stole I am working on for my IloveKandCAlongs group at yahoo. You can also find this pattern here. At Lion Brands website.

Now for my shopping expedition to the LYS in Jacksonville, AL. Taming the Ewe.
I had to buy her last 3 balls of Ovation. Discontinued Green. ^^ I bought all 3 and I intend on making me the same stole as above in this as well. I think it will come out very nice. I also counted the yardage and will have enough for the stole and for the Dayflower Scarf found here. Check out the StitchinGirl blog. She has other things of interest as well. I plan on doing her tiger eye scarf also. I have the yarn for that already.

I figured I would see what all the hype was about with the tofutsies. So I bought me a skein. I love the color, love the feel, and now as soon as I finish of my other pair of socks, and wip's in general, I will work with this. :D

Sweet Dreams Handbag

I have added a dragonfly pendant in the center of the trefoil and I also added a latch hook type closure at the top of the purse. I haven't decided yet on the purse handles yet. I am debating on if I should just do I-cord handles for this purse and then later if I decide to do this purse again, buy plastic or bamboo handles. If you have an opinion, let me know. Feel free to comment. ^^

My Pine Tree

I am doing my pine tree bookmark in warm rose by Aunt Lydia's Fashion Crochet thread. It's a size 3 cotton. I am also using size 0 needles.

This bookmark is part of a KAL that I am doing in place of the regular one. The other members in the group decided to do this one when the Mod had to postpone the original due to some temp complications. But we will be back on track a.s.a.p.

I am glad though that I can work this pattern. I have had my eye on it for quite some time. It is just beautiful.
